Dingle Heart Safe

Trained local volunteers, dispatched by the National Ambulance Service, reaching our neighbours in the minutes before an ambulance can.

In an emergency, always dial 112 or 999 first. The dispatcher will tell you where the nearest AED is and give you the code if the cabinet is locked.

How a call reaches us

Who we are

Your neighbours, trained and ready

We are local business owners, teachers, farmers and retirees who live and work in and around Dingle. Every responder is trained and certified in CPR and the use of an AED.

Ambulances often travel a long way to reach us, so we bridge the gap in those first critical minutes as the first link in the chain of survival.

Community training

CPR and defibrillator workshops

So many people from the community turned up to our latest CPR and defibrillator workshop. As well as being vital training, the proceeds help us maintain the defibrillators in the area.

Participants practise chest compressions on manikins and see how a public-access AED guides you through each step. Students at Sacred Heart University in Dingle gave up their time to run the practical training.
